Prison Style Meatloaf

INGREDIENTS

800g minced beef (High fat content)


1.5 cup Milk


1.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs


Handful of chopped parsley


1 Onion


2 eggs whisked


4 Cloves crushed garlic


Salt + pepper


25g Parmesan


Nob ofButter


Marinara Sauce about 800ml



SUMMARY

Super moist meatloaf served with a marinara sauce.


RECIPE

  1. Preheat over to 165c


  2. Fry the diced onions in butter and oil until golden


  3. Add some garlic at the end once the onions are nearly done - let the mixture cool to get to room temperature.


  4. Mix the milk and breadcrumbs together (a sludge) and leave for 20 mins so the milk is absorbed by the breadcrumbs


  5. Once the sludge is done squeeze off excess milk and put in the bowl with the beef


  6. Add the egg , grated parmesan , parsley , cool onion mix and mix well with salt and pepper and a pinch of cayenne.


  7. Shape your meatloaf and put into a baking tray and pour over your marinara sauce


  8. Bake in the oven for about 1 hour 10 mins.


  9. Let rest for 10 mins then your meatloaf is done.
